A proud member of the Deer Clan, Wind comes from a strong family lineage. His parents, Daniel and Anna Wind, and grandparents, Benjamin and Mattie Scott, Jackson and Beatrice Deere, and Daniel David Wind, have instilled in him a sense of duty and connection to his heritage. Educated at Henryetta High School and Langston University, Wind has built a solid foundation. He has been married to his wife Shauna for 16 years, and together they are raising two children, reflecting his dedication to family values.

For the past four years, Wind has served as a Community Specialist with Community Research & Development, a role he has embraced wholeheartedly. Through his work, he has engaged with citizens across various communities, gaining a profound understanding of their needs and the collective aspirations of the region. This experience has fueled his desire to see ongoing growth and to collaborate with fellow representatives to foster economic development opportunities that benefit families throughout the district.
