Elizabeth “Beth” Houghton Stafford, a longtime resident of Weleetka, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, at the age of 67. She was born on July 16, 1958, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to George Houghton, Jr., and Jacklyn (Chancey) Houghton.

Beth was a devoted member of Dewar First Baptist Church, where she and her husband, Randy, faithfully led the O.W.L.S. (Older, Wiser, Livelier Saints) group. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, working in her yard, and volunteering with the Foster Lab Rescue of Oklahoma. Beth dedicated 28 years of service to Wal-Mart, working in a variety of roles before retiring in 2011.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Houghton, Jr.; her grandparents, Henry Jackson and Sibyl Chancey; and her brother, David Houghton.

Beth is survived by her loving husband, Randy Stafford of the home; her daughter, April Short and husband Drew, and their daughter Hannah of Moore, Oklahoma; her son, Eric Stafford and wife Kendra, and their children, Eli and Kora of Jenks, Oklahoma; her mother, Jacklyn Houghton of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two sisters, Sallie Capen of Kansas and Cindy Eacret and husband Jim of the Wilson community; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka, Oklahoma, with Rev. Ryan Wells officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
