Nunes Reveals Explosive New Details in Alleged “Conspiracy” Against Trump

Former House Intel Chair Devin Nunes and Attorney General Pam Bondi discuss the federal indictment of James Comey, alleged weaponization of U.S. intelligence agencies, and the long-running effort to undermine Donald Trump.
Washington, D.C. — Former California Congressman Devin Nunes joined Maria Bartiromo and U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi on Mornings with Maria to discuss the latest revelations in what he calls a “grand conspiracy” against former President Donald Trump.
The conversation follows the federal indictment of former FBI Director James Comey, who now faces charges of lying to Congress and obstructing a congressional proceeding related to his 2020 testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee. The charges mark a major turning point in the years-long controversy surrounding the origins of the Russia collusion investigation that dogged the Trump presidency.
Attorney General Pam Bondi vowed that “no stone will be left unturned” in pursuing accountability for what she called “a decade of government weaponization” against Trump and his allies. “It’s ended now,” Bondi said. “We’re going to look at everything.”
Nunes: ‘This Was a Conspiracy to Take Down Trump’
Nunes, who first exposed what became known as the “Russia collusion hoax,” said the evidence now shows a coordinated effort stretching back to 2015 and 2016.
“Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock somewhere, this has been a conspiracy to weaponize the U.S. intelligence agencies against the most popular Republican since Ronald Reagan,” Nunes told Bartiromo.
According to Nunes, the roots of the effort trace to an August 2016 White House meeting involving then-President Barack Obama, Joe Biden, James Comey, and John Brennan, where they were informed that the Clinton campaign and DNC were seeking to link Trump to Russian interference.
“They knew it was a hoax,” Nunes said. “It was all designed to get Trump because they were worried about her emails becoming public before the election.”
The Mar-a-Lago Raid and Missing Intelligence Report
Nunes also tied the 2022 Mar-a-Lago raid to many of the same intelligence and Justice Department officials who served during both the Obama and Biden administrations. He pointed to Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, now a senior executive at Microsoft, as one figure likely aware of the operation.
“Many of the same people were involved,” Nunes said. “They didn’t find what they were looking for, and it took Attorney General Garland three days to even make a statement.”
He believes the raid was connected to a 40-page declassified intelligence report detailing Russia’s 2016 influence campaign — a report that has since gone missing. “We were told it was declassified,” Nunes explained, “but when we asked the archives for it, it wasn’t there. That report proved Russia didn’t think Trump would win — which destroys the whole collusion narrative.”
Pattern of Political Weaponization
Nunes argued that the Comey indictment is only one piece of a larger pattern involving multiple politically driven investigations, from the Russia probe to the Ukraine impeachment and the Mar-a-Lago raid.
“It was all designed to target and take down one political enemy,” Nunes said. “If intelligence agencies are working hand in hand with the fake news and nonprofit groups to benefit one political party, a republic cannot survive that.”
He added that while prosecutions are important, the court of public opinion is equally vital. “From my vantage point, it’s clear there was conspiracy on several fronts — especially lying and misleading Congress and the American people.”
Bondi: ‘Justice Will Be Done’
Attorney General Pam Bondi reaffirmed the administration’s intent to hold all responsible parties accountable.
“We will no longer allow this government to be weaponized against its citizens,” Bondi said. “Justice will be done.”
Looking Ahead
With Comey now formally indicted and further investigations reportedly underway, Nunes says Americans deserve full transparency. “We’re finally getting documents out that people were never meant to see,” he said. “That’s how the truth comes out — and the truth is coming.”
