Obituary For Alfred William Hunt August 9, 1950 – November 13, 2025

Alfred William Hunt, a longtime resident of Dewar, Oklahoma, passed from this life on November 13, 2025, at the age of 75.

Alfred was born on August 9, 1950, in Modesto, California, to Roy Dean and Margaret (Terrill) Hunt. He owned and operated a video store in Dewar for many years, where he enjoyed serving his community and building lasting friendships. On February 22, 1972, he married Cheryl Pollard, and together they made their home in Dewar.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jonathan William Hunt; and siblings Roy Dean Hunt, Stephen Hunt, Daniel Hunt, Pamala O’Roark, and Jodi Hunt.

Alfred is survived by his wife, Cheryl Hunt, of the home; his son, James Adam Hunt; brothers, Donald Hunt and Larry Hunt; sisters, Linda Houser, Margaret Hunt, and Patricia Mathew; brother-in-law, Brian Pollard and wife Deon; sister-in-law, Pamala Mozarko and husband Mike; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In keeping with Alfred’s wishes, no formal service will be held. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home.

Alfred will be remembered for his kind heart, his devotion to family, and his love for the simple joys of life shared with those he cherished most.
