Obituary for Suzanne Kennedy November 2, 1938 – November 4, 2025

Suzanne Kennedy, a beloved resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed from this life on November 4, 2025, at the age of 87.

Suzanne was a devoted homemaker whose life centered around faith, family, and community. She was a longtime member of Central Church of the Nazarene in Tulsa, where her kindness and steadfast spirit touched many lives. Suzzi was an award winning Tulsa artist that shared her many works with friends, family, and the local community.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 50 years, Donald Eugene Kennedy of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Over the many years, Don and Suzzi raised a family focused on Christ-centered living. Living together in various cities in Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, and Nebraska, their lives touched many. They also were big Sooners fans, and both children graduated from the University of Oklahoma.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, Kathryn and J.W. “Dutch” Jones of Henryetta, Oklahoma.

Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Kelly Kennedy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and her son, Mark and wife Jill Kennedy of Dallas, Texas.

She had grandchildren, Jensen and husband C.J. Yancey of Austin, Texas, Haleigh Yancey of Dallas, Texas, and Reid and wife Marlee Yancey of Grapevine, Texas, and great grand child, Brooks; Jordan and wife Julie Milan of Melissa, Texas, and great grandchildren, Patrick and Thomas.

She is survived by two loving sisters, Kaye Wright (and Fred Wright,deceased) of Fort Worth, Texas, nephew John and wife Diane Wright of Fort Worth, Texas, great nephews Taylor Wright of Fort Worth, Texas, and Trevor and Raelyn Wright of Houston, Texas, great great niece Collins Camilla, and great great nephew John Wesley, and sister Nell and husband Denny Gordon of Chelsea, Oklahoma, niece Sarah and husband Jim Evans of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and great-niece Marlow and husband Dustin Ennis of Siloam Springs,

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday at Central Church of the Nazarene (7921 E. 81st St., Tulsa, OK), with Pastor Daniel Surratt officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home.
