Obituary Lucille Ann Joshua September 8, 1940

Lucille Ann Joshua, a longtime resident of Okmulgee, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 84. She was born on September 8, 1940, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Wallie King and Christine (Wind) Henneha.

Lucille’s roots were in the Nuyaka Tribal Town and she was proud member of the Wind Clan.

Lucille had a love for life’s simple joys. She enjoyed playing bingo, spending time at the casino, watching Westerns, and creating beadwork. She loved listening to the Blues and cherished the beauty of roses. Above all, Lucille treasured the time she spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee Joshua Sr.; three children, Sherri Joshua, John Beaver Jr., and Mary Beaver; her siblings, Leonard Henneha, Jackson King, Wanda Buckley, Earnestine Henneha, and Patricia Henneha.

Lucille is survived by her children: Betty Harjo of Okmulgee, OK; Lloyd Beaver of Okmulgee, OK; Richard Beaver and wife Betty of Okmulgee, OK; Leslie Powell of Okmulgee, OK; Ward Beaver and wife Karen of Prague, OK; Lee Joshua Jr. of Okmulgee, OK; and Siadienia Joshua of Okmulgee, OK. She is also survived by her sister, Valerie Littlecreek of Okemah, OK; her brother, Amon King of Edmond, OK; 25 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Viewing will be held at the Integrity Chapel from 1pm to 3:30 pm on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025.

Wake Services are scheduled for Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025 at 7:00 pm at Belvin Baptist Church located at 320 N. Mission Lane, Okmulgee, OK 74447.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Belvin Baptist Church. Interment will take place at Tallahassee Cemetery.

Pallbearers include, Wesley Beaver, Ward Beaver Jr., Kéyonce Seals, Beckham Beaver, Tyler Corn, and Zeke Beaver.

Honorary Pallbearers include, Bryant Beaver, JD Harley, Deshaun Yahola, Isaiah Smith, and Ian Smith.

Her memory will be cherished, and she will be dearly missed.
