Citizens of Okfuskee County, and especially those residing within the City of Okemah,
Due to recent developments within the Okemah Police Department and the governing body of the City of Okemah, the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office has stepped in to provide assistance and oversight. While a few officers of the Okemah Police Department remain in service and continue to carry out their duties, the Attorney General’s Office is now serving as the designated point of contact for calls and concerns within the Okemah city limits.
For the public:
• In all emergency situations, please continue to dial 911.
• For non-emergency calls, please use 918-623-1234.
The Okfuskee County Sheriff’s Office is working in close collaboration with the remaining Okemah Police Department officers and the Attorney General’s Office to provide any and all assistance necessary during this transitional period. Our foremost priority is, and will remain, the safety and security of every citizen of Okfuskee County. While internal matters within the City of Okemah are being addressed, the Sheriff’s Office will continue to stand ready, ensuring law enforcement coverage and public safety are never compromised.
We thank the citizens of Okemah and Okfuskee County for their patience, cooperation, and continued trust in the Okfuskee County Sheriff’s Office as these issues are resolved.
Respectfully,
Logan Manshack
Sheriff, Okfuskee County
